Restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine – these words have recently become the new international brand of our country. And now, on the eve of the Business Forum in Lugano, Switzerland (https://www.urc2022.com ), it is not by chance that a number of questions arises – especially when one travels to this event in the hopes that specific proposals concerning the recovery, reconstruction, and restarting of various sectors of Ukraine’s economy will be heard.
After overcoming almost two and a half thousand kilometers, one understands that no European country would completely understand us. Smoke on the horizon, planes in the sky – unfortunately, every Ukrainian knows what other meanigs these things have, and wonders: is it a missile impact or not? Is the plane one of ours? Europeans are very far from such a perspective – thankfully. However, Ukrainians living abroad do not have the right to forget; they have to constantly remind the world that there is an ongoing WAR on the territories of a sovereign EUROPEAN state. Citizens and foreign residents of various ages lose their lives to russian fire; infrastructure, educational institutions, residential areas get destroyed – every day, in the 21st century.
President Zelenskyy expressed the opinion that large-scale restoration of our state will begin with tomorrow’s event; we hope it will be so. Nevertheless, the issue of specific projects in various spheres of activity remains open.
